Biography
Xiaonan Wang is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University and the Associate Dean of Office of International Affairs, Tsinghua University. She received a B.Eng. from Tsinghua University in 2011 and a PhD from University of California, Davis in 2015. After working as a postdoctoral research associate at Imperial College London, she joined the National University of Singapore (NUS) as an Assistant Professor in 2017 and later became an Adjunct Associate Professor. She is leading a Smart Systems Engineering research group at NUS and Tsinghua, and is also the Director of the Intelligent Chemical Engineering Research Centre.
Xiaonan has published more than 180 peer-reviewed papers and 3 book chapters, with > 13,000 citations and H index 67. She has been recognized as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher, World’s Top 2% Scientists and Young Beijing Scholar. She has won the Cell Press Women Scientist Award, ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering Lectureship, World Chemical Engineering Council (WCEC) Young Researcher Award, 50 Women in Tech by Forbes China, and AIChE-SLS Outstanding Young Principal Investigator, as well several best paper and emerging investigator awards.
