Biography
Svein Sunde is Professor of Electrochemistry at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Norway. He received the Dr. ing. degree at the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1991 and the Dr. Techn. degree at NTNU in 2000. He worked as a research scientist in SINTEF from 1991 till 1995, as a visiting scientist at Risø National Laboratory in Denmark in 1996, and then as a research scientist at the OECD Halden Reactor Project/Institute for Energy Technology from 1997 till 2004.
After this he returned to NTNU as a professor in 2005, where he now teaches electrochemistry. Sunde’s current research interests include electrocatalysis, water electrolysis, and mathematical modelling of electrochemical systems.
