Laura Fisher

Biography
Laura joined us in 2014 as a publishing editor and has worked across a number of our journals in various roles. Through her current role as executive editor, she has established expertise in open access publishing, inclusion and diversity in publishing, and publishing ethics. She played a key role in our paper mill investigation in 2020, as well as leading the establishment of our author name changes policy.
Laura did her undergraduate degree and PhD in chemistry at the University of Bath, UK, specialising in metal–organic frameworks, followed by a postdoc at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. In her spare time she enjoys running ultramarathons and playing 5-a-side football.
