IMPORTANCE OF THE PROJECT: Women Breaking New frontiers in STEMM is our event name and this programme is to create awareness and sentisize women and girls to push past previous limits, explore uncharted domains, make breakthrough discoveries or innovations in the field of science, technology or leadership. As well as forging new paths for equity, career leverage, inclusive participation and retention in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM). It is targeted at women researchers, industrialist and those in academia. The workshop aims to equip women scientists to explore new territory, pioneer novel ideas through collective effort, and accelerate equity in science. We intend to call seasoned academicians in this field to come and deliver lectures on the importance of women and girls participation in STEMM, as well as breaking the glass ceiling As a woman, a mother, researcher, scientist etc, I also observed that career advancement and ultimately global impact is often a mirage or an achievement for most women. Women Scientists in particular face the dilemma of utilizing time productively to advance their research and careers while managing the peculiarities of being a female or woman in STEMM. This event will make us reach out to women scientists and girls in our community. Our programme will also catch them young. Inclusiveness is one of our major keywords as we will make sure the goal is achieved. The audience will include High school students, and teachers.
