After a year away, we're delighted to return to this famous fly agaric site — bring your camera along for a woodland photo safari!

Meeting at 10am in Rough Common Car Park (Free, but gets busy), CT2 9DD Public transport users: alternative meeting point at 9am at Canterbury Coach Station, by the Lamb sculpture

Join us as we return to Blean Wood for our much-loved autumn walk, where the magnificent fly agarics and other stunning autumnal toadstools put on one of the finest displays in Kent. Bring a camera — this is a fantastic spot for a woodland photo safari. Dogs on leads are welcome. This family-friendly, 10 - 12 km walk is easy and mostly on flat terrain, making it perfect for everyone. It's helpful to bring binoculars, field guides, and your camera or phone for photos. Remember to pack a drink and a couple of sandwiches, as there are no refreshment facilities in the woods. No special equipment is needed but the paths can be soggy and there is always a slight chance of rain, so waterproof walking boots/wellies and a raincoat may come in handy.

20 places available — free of charge — first come, first served To book your place, contact Robert Goldmann via email [email protected].
