RSC MSCLS Member’s Spring Lunch 2026

Event Details

Once again the Emsworth Sailing Club will be the venue for the members of the RSC Mid-Southern Counties Local Section to enjoy lunch in their restaurant, which is situated in a prime site at the edge of Chichester Harbour, with impressive views over the water. The Club has been on this site for over a century and is renowned for its provision of water-based activities as well as onshore functions, including a high-quality catering provision.  

This event will be held on Thursday 14th May, from 12 noon to 4pm, at the Emsworth Sailing Club. Up to 40 places are available to be booked for this event.  The RSC members attending this lunch will be greeted with a welcome drink, followed by a three-course fixed menu. The Local Section's AGM will be held after the lunch, offering a chance to learn more about the Local Section and ways to contribute to its work.

Menu

The menu for this meal is offered below. Members and guests will be able to choose from two Main options offered below. The cost of the three-course lunch is £30 per head for all attendees, including wine and a glass of sparkling wine or soft drink beforehand. Additional options for those with dietary requirements are also available on request.

Starter

Gin Marinated Salmon Blini

Marinated smoked salmon on light blinis & Served with a cucumber ribbon salad, horseradish crème fraiche & fresh dill (agf)

Main

A choice between either:

Braised lamb rump

Prime slow braised lamb rump, served on pomme dauphinoise & topped with a port wine reduction (agf)

OR Lemon Sole Florentine

Fillets of lemon sole with wilted spinach mornay sauce & English Cheddar

All Served with Seasonal Vegetables

(V Option available upon request)

Dessert

Lemon Meringue Roulade

Served with raspberry sorbet & steeped berries (agf)

Directions

The venue is readily accessible from the Emsworth junction of the A27 trunk road, and the ESC car park is only a short distance from the Club (Restaurant) entrance, see map attached to this event. There is a drop off point at the entrance, for those needing this option. For safety reasons, cars must be parked in the car park as this is a very restricted road.

The booking page for this event will open on Monday 16th February at the earliest, and will be available on the RSC Events page. Those wishing to attend are asked to complete the booking by Thursday 30th April following the link to the booking page provided. Payment is requested at the time of booking, and can be made using the online payment system offered via the RSC events webpage.
