About the forum
The RSC India Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2026 will bring together leaders from research, industry, policy and the scientific community to explore how chemistry and the chemical sciences can help address some of society’s most pressing sustainability challenges. The forum will provide a platform for dialogue, collaboration and the exchange of ideas, while showcasing the Royal Society of Chemistry’s commitment to advancing scientific excellence, fostering partnerships and supporting sustainable innovation.
As the inaugural edition of the RSC India Sustainability Forum 2026 is envisioned as a flagship platform to connect people, ideas and innovation, in a meaningful way to promote science-driven solutions for a more sustainable future.

Chemistry for Sustainability: Emerging researcher award by the Royal Society of Chemistry
Sustainable solutions already exist, but they need visibility and adoption. Recognising good practice helps successful ideas move from isolated initiatives to wider implementation. We at the Royal Society of Chemistry understand that what gets recognised gets prioritised and to help facilitate that we are inviting applications from early careers to showcase their work towards sustainable chemistry practices demonstrating meaningful impact for Chemistry for sustainability – emerging researcher award by the RSC.

All shortlisted candidates would be asked to present their research (15 min presentation) during the India Sustainability Forum (the details for which will be shared in advance to the shortlisted candidates). Please check the selection criteria on the website.
It is expected that all shortlisted candidates make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
