The biennial RSC Dalton Conference stands as the flagship gathering for the UK’s Inorganic Chemistry community — a vibrant meeting point for the people pushing the boundaries of the field. Every two years, researchers from across the UK and around the world come together to share breakthroughs, spark new collaborations, and celebrate the full breadth of modern inorganic chemistry.

The 2027 joint meeting, led by the Main Group Interest Group with support from the Inorganic Biochemistry Discussion Group, the Inorganic Reaction Mechanisms Group, and the Coordination and Organometallic Chemistry Group, promises to be a showcase of cutting‑edge science and dynamic discussion.

Designed with early‑career researchers firmly in mind, the conference offers rich networking opportunities, professional development, and a welcoming atmosphere that encourages curiosity, connection, and bold new ideas.

The 2027 meting will feature plenary talks from several recent RSC Prize Winners including Prof. Marinella Mazzanti (Mond-Nyholm Prize for Inorganic Chemistry), Prof. Matthias Driess (Centenary Prize for Chemistry and Communication), Prof. Jonathan Nitschke (Tilden Prize) and Dr Joesph Parr (Dalton Emerging Researcher Prize). Along with additional plenary talks from Prof. Viktoria Gessner, Prof. Ellen Matson, Prof. Lena Daumann and Prof. Miqual Costas.

Registration and Abstract submission will open early 2027 with registration anticipated to cost £120 for Students and £240 for RSC Members. We have reserved several rooms with Warwick University, these will be available for booking directly through them at a expected costs of £62 a night.
