RSC Dalton Community Scotland and Universities of Scotland Inorganic Conference (USIC) 2026

The upcoming RSC Scottish Dalton/USIC Conference will be held at Heriot-Watt University on the 1st and 2nd of September 2026. The new combined format of these conferences was a great success last year, combining the regional RSC Scottish Dalton meeting and PhD student-led USIC conference. We have Prof. Andrew Weller (York) confirmed as a plenary speaker, as well as talks from industry, and representatives from each of the Scottish chemistry departments. As is tradition, USIC will focus on early career researchers and offer opportunities for oral and poster presentations, along with a conference dinner and a traditional Scottish ceilidh in the evening.

The event will be held in the Postgraduate Centre at Heriot-Watt University which has good bus links into Edinburgh. The dinner and ceilidh will be held at The Pavilion at Myreside. There is a wide variety of accomodation options in central Edinburgh.

All are welcome to attend and we encourage attendance from those outside of Scotland.
