Reckitt have had a site on Dansom Lane in Hull since the company was founded by Isaac Reckitt in 1840. He manufactured starch with 25 employees – a far cry from the global business Reckitt has become.

Today, Reckitt is a highly successful multi-national company of 40,000 employees generating £14 Bn net revenue in 2025.

Our purpose-built Science and Innovation Centre in Hull employs 1100 scientists and is the global hub for our healthcare product portfolio, developing the next innovations on household names like Nurofen, Gaviscon, Strepsils and Mucinex (US only).

NOTE: If you are driving to the site, please take extra care at the Dansom Lane / St. Mark Street corner:

• When travelling down Dansom Lane, the site appears straight ahead, but the road bends left.

• Do not continue straight—you must stop, check for traffic, and then turn right to enter the site.

On-site parking is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis but there should be ample parking for all attendees.

Disabled parking spaces are available directly outside the Science & Innovation Centre. We kindly ask that designated disabled bays are used only by guests displaying a valid disabled badge.
