Recent Appointees in Materials Science (RAMS) 2026 Conference Main Image

The Recent Appointees in Materials Science (RAMS) 2026 Conference is a UK meeting that brings together researchers from across the materials science community and related disciplines.

RAMS 2026 is particularly aimed at recent appointees, early-career academic staff, independent research fellows and emerging research leaders who are building or leading an independent research profile. The meeting provides a focused space to present new research, meet peers across the UK materials community, discuss future research directions and build collaborations.

Hosted by the University of Edinburgh, RAMS 2026 will take place on 3–4 September 2026 at the Sanderson Building, King’s Buildings campus. The programme will cover a broad range of topics in materials science, including Sustainable Energy & Functional Materials, Bio & Soft Materials, and AI for Materials Discovery.
