NMR Discussion Group Postgraduate Meeting 2026 Main Image

This gathering brings together early career researchers and established scientists in the field of NMR spectroscopy, providing a supportive environment for sharing cutting-edge research.

This year's meeting will feature three keynote presentations:

Dr Cate Cropper (University of Liverpool): From spin to scholarship: a journey beyond the magic angle

Dr UliHintermair(University of Bath):Lights, camera, action! Recording chemical movies with Flow NMR spectroscopy

Dr Daniel Lee(University of Manchester):New horizons in solid-state NMR spectroscopy through hyperpolarisation

The programme will include oral and flash presentations from early career researchers selected from submitted abstracts, alongside a poster session.

Presenters at previous meetings have found it to offer valuable experience in a friendly and constructive setting, particularly prior to presenting at international conferences. While not mandatory, we strongly encourage all attending early career researchers to present either a poster or oral contribution.

Abstract deadlines: Oral: 22nd May. Poster: 29th May.

Registration closes: 12th June. You must register by this date – last year several people were unable to attend because they missed registration the deadline.

5 bursaries covering registration costs are available for undergraduate summer students working in NMR spectroscopy to attend this meeting. The student or supervisor should email [email protected] with details of the project to request a discount code. These will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis with a maximum of 2 per research group.

We look forward to welcoming you to Liverpool for what promises to be an engaging and collaborative meeting showcasing the breadth of NMR research across the UK.
