Mechanics of Bond Breaking 2027: from Single Molecules to Polymer Networks Main Image

MBB 2027 is a 3-day symposium bringing together leading scientists working across multiple length scales, from single molecules to bulk polymer materials.

This event will focus on the fundamental role of bond breaking and reforming in determining the mechanical and rheological properties of polymer systems, and on bridging the gap between nanomechanics and macroscopic performance.

Key topics will include:

  • Covalent Adaptable Networks and Vitrimers
  • Fracture Behavior
  • Mechanochemistry
  • Rheological and Mechanical Properties of Polymer Networks
  • Self-healing
  • Single Molecule Force Spectroscopy
  • Supramolecular Materials

The symposium will feature plenary lectures, keynote talks, selected short communications, and a poster session.
