JPAG Foundations Event: Sampling and Sample Preparation: The Cornerstones of Analytical Strategy and Successful Method Development Main Image

JPAG is proud to confirm that the next symposium in the successful Foundations series, aimed at early career pharmaceutical analysts will take place on 1st October 2026 at Burlington House in London. The symposium will concentrate on sampling and sample preparation, which underpin the quality of any analytical dataset and are instrumental in achieving success with method development and analytical strategies. From confirming that samples are truly representative, to ensuring that these samples are handled and measured with an appropriate analytical instrument without corrupting or influencing the results, this symposium offers an invaluable opportunity for analytical scientists to strengthen their grasp of the fundamentals of sampling and sample preparation. Engage with experts who will share practical approaches to avoid result bias; unnecessary out of specification results; and ultimately build more control into analytical processes. CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: The symposium will include a poster session and the agenda has space for some “flash presentations.” If you would like to share a relevant case study as a poster or a short oral presentation, please contact us at [email protected] with your abstract. The symposium will cover the following key topics: • The strategic role of sample preparation in dictating analytical success in QC and development • Why it is important to understand how, when and where the sample was taken • The link between physical properties and the best sample preparation technique • Automated sample preparation • Case Studies (oral presentations and posters) • Vendor Exhibition With speakers from across the pharmaceutical industry, including AstraZeneca and Asymchem, as well as key equipment providers such as Sotax and Agilent, the event will cover theory and best practice for sample preparation and introduce the latest automation technology. The meeting programme is being finalised. Delegates will be able to register from 9.00AM and the meeting is scheduled to finish by 5.00PM. New! Special Offer for JPAG Foundations events. Three delegates for the price of two for attendees from the same organisation. Contact us at [email protected] for more details Not applicable to concessions.
