CChem conference 2026
Join us for our sixth dedicated conference all about Chartered Chemist (CChem). This online event is split over three days and will involve talks from RSC staff as well as professionals in academia and industry who are engaged with the chatership process.
The sessions are split accordingly:
Session 1: Why become a member of the RSC and pursue chartership?
Find out more about the advantages of becoming a member of the RSC and learn about what chartership is, why it is worthwhile and how to apply. This session will involve talks from RSC staff members (Professional Standard Specialist and Industry Member Experience Lead) as well as a presetation from an industry representitative from Eli Lilly.
Tuesday 15th September 2026 (12.00 - 13.15)
Session 2: Communicating and Influencing - A focused look at Attribute C
This session will focus on the Communicating and Influencing skills (Attribute C) section of the chartered chemist application, and dive deeper into the C1, C2 and C3 sections. A talk will be provided by the RSC (Professional Standards Specialist), with perspectives provided by invited speakers from industry who have either recently completed or are currently writing their CChem application.
Wednesday 16th September 2026 (12.00 - 13.15)
Session 3: What makes a good CChem attribute answer?
Find out how best to write your answers to the CChem attributes and ways to present the required evidence. A talk will be provided by the RSC (Professional Standards Specialist), with a further talk from an academic who was recently awarded CChem. The session will conclude with information on RSC's Pathfinder.
