Abu Rayhan Biruni international chemistry olympiad 2026

ABICO 2026 is an international university chemistry competition combining theoretical problem-solving and practical laboratory assessment. It will take place on 1–5 December 2026 at Ma’mun University in Khiva, Uzbekistan, and will be conducted in English. The event aims to recognise undergraduate talent and encourage international exchange in chemistry education.

Universities may nominate up to four undergraduate contestants and one university-appointed team leader. A student cannot serve as the team leader.

Participation is free. Accommodation, meals, domestic transport and the cultural programme are covered within the official programme. International travel and medical travel insurance are the responsibility of the sending institution or participants.

Universities should confirm their interest by 20 November 2026 and register their delegations through https://olimpiada.edu.uz, the primary registration channel. If technical difficulties prevent online registration, universities may submit an official nomination letter containing the complete delegation list to [email protected] as a backup option.
