45th Solid State Chemistry Group Christmas Meeting

We are excited to be organising and hosting the 45th edition of the RSC Solid-State Chemistry Group (SSCG) Christmas Meeting, in Oxford on December 15–17th 2026. The meeting opens with the Early Career Researcher (ECR) Meeting, from noon on 15th December in the Magdalen College Auditorium, with invited talks and oral slots reserved for students and postdocs. The Main Meeting follows in the Life and Mind Building, from noon on 16th December until the afternoon of 17th December.
The programme this year will include keynote lectures by:
– Prof Nicola Spaldin (ETH Zürich) – Prof Russell Morris (University of St Andrews) – Prof Anna Regoutz (University of Oxford) – Prof Siân Dutton (University of Cambridge)
Abstract submission for oral and poster presentations is currently open, including a number of oral slots earmarked for students and postdocs at the ECR part of the meeting (deadline for oral presentations: October 30th).

Abstract submission for oral and poster presentations is open via the submission link on this page. Oral abstracts are invited by 30th October 2026, with a number of oral slots reserved for students and postdocs at the Early Career Researcher part of the meeting; poster submission remains open after that date. Contributions from all aspects of solid-state science are welcome. Submitters will be notified of the outcome by 15th November 2026.
Deadlines
Registration includes attendance at both the Early Career Researcher Meeting and the Main Meeting, coffee breaks, the poster session and drinks reception, and the conference dinner at St Catherine’s College on 16th December.
Registration fees (all inclusive): Student, RSC member — £100 Student, non-member — £120 Regular, RSC member — £160 Regular, non-member — £180
